Dr. Peter Lam BSc, DDS, AEGD

Dr. Peter Lam has enjoyed practicing family and cosmetic dentistry in southwest Calgary for the past 10 years. He received his dental degree from the University of Alberta, where he was recognized for both his academic and clinical achievements. Following graduation, he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the renowned Eastman Dental Center in New York. He also served as a member of the dental team at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester.

Peter is continually updating his skills and knowledge and recently completed comprehensive courses in aesthetic and restorative dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He believes in practicing with integrity and in providing his patients with the highest level of care in a comfortable environment. It is important to Peter that his patients are given choices and that they are informed participants in their own dental health.

Peter and his wife, Helen, are proud parents of their beautiful daughters, Kianna and Kaylie. In his spare time, he can likely be found pursuing his passion for fly fishing and photography.


Dr. Chris Lan BSc, DMD, GPR

Dr. Chris Lan is a graduate of the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, he completed a one year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Montefiore Hospital in New York.

Chris enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign clear braces, sedation dentistry, and oral surgery. He strongly believes that the best dentistry is preventive dentistry since maintaining good oral health from the outset is vital to the health of a person's entire body.

Outiside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His hobbies include skiing, biking, and golf.

Molly Dental Hygienist

Molly has enjoyed a long and varied career in dental hygiene. She obtained her diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta and has practiced in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. Molly feels that dental hygiene has been a wonderful career choice for her. She receives great satisfaction in improving the oral health of her patients as she sees how this ultimately improves their general well being. Molly has developed wonderful long term relationships with many of her patients and seems to have a knack for making people smile. Molly and her husband, Jim have two children and keep busy with their four grandsons, Joshua, Joel, Jacob and Joseph.

Joanna Dental Hygienist

Joanna obtained her Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario. Prior to that, she was a dental assistant for over 7 years, and much of that time was spent working alongside Dr. Peter Lam. Joanna is excited to be part of the West Market Dental team and is enjoying being back in Calgary with her family and friends. She is dedicated to providing quality care and patients really appreciate Joanna’s friendliness and gentle touch.

Krista Dental Hygienist

Krista is originally from Chaplin, Saskatchewan and now enjoys living in Calgary. She started out in the dental field as an assistant and later completed the Dental Hygiene program at the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene. Krista loves being a hygienist and patients appreciate her caring nature and friendliness. Her positive attitude and energy make her a great addition to the West Market Team. When she's not working, Krista enjoys playing sports, running, hiking and traveling.

Christy Administrative Assistant

Christy was born and raised in Calgary. She completed the Dental Assisting Program at SAIT and enjoys working in the dental field. Christy loves working with people and it shows. You can't miss her welcoming smile and positive attitude. Patients also really appreciate Christy's helpfulness and willingness to go above and beyond. In her spare time, Christy enjoys practicing yoga, working out and camping.

Originally from Ontario, Jasmine relocated to Alberta after completing her dental assisting diploma at Kingston Learning Centre. Patients really notice Jasmine's enthusiasm and smile and agree that she is a valuable member of the West Market Dental team. Jasmine loves to cook and whenever she gets a chance, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Tonni grew up in a small town in northeastern Alberta, but Calgary has been her home for the last four years. She completed the dental assistant program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Tonni is a newlywed and enjoys working out in her spare time. Her friendly nature and warm smile make her a great addition to our team.

Lesley Dental Assistant

Lesley has worked as a registered dental assistant for over 20 years and is an integral part of our team. In addition to general dentistry, Lesley has experience in orthodontics and periodontics. A true humanitarian, Lesley has been involved in providing dental care for the less fortunate through the Calgary Health Region. Her relaxed nature puts patients and kids right at ease. Be sure to ask her about her golf game as she is an avid golfer and when she’s not on the golf course, she’s probably skiing or travelling.

Karen’s interest in the health care field led her to complete the dental assistant program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Originally from Winnipeg, she loves living in Calgary and enjoys being a dental assistant. She has worked the last 5 years with Dr. Peter Lam and is a valuable part of the West Market Dental team. Her caring nature and friendly smile will always make you feel right at home. In her spare time, Karen loves to run and practice yoga.
